SCI Program Update 5/15/2020

Tell us Your Story! We recently learned of possible cuts to the Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) funding for community services in the upcoming state fiscal year 2021 budget. These cuts directly threaten the services and workforce dedicated to supporting families across the state. Of course, there are many ways to support the services and programs which support people with disabilities, and advocacy is an important one.

If you are interested in sharing your story to keep funding for community services in place? We want to hear from You!

SCI Program Updates for 3/23/2020

As advised by MDH and DDA, SCI has adjusted how case manager responsibilities are carried out to support the health and safety of both those we support and our team members during the COVID-19 pandemic. For both our Support Planning and CCS programs, visits and meetings are being held remotely, routine check-ins are being scheduled and resources are being compiled to support clear communication and guidance for those we support. In addition, our programs have established coverage plans should our workforce be reduced due to COVID-19.

Along with the state and health organizations, we continue to monitor the matter and will share updates as they become available. If you have questions or need additional resources, please continue to reach out to your SCI Service Coordinator or SCI Supports Planner.

SCI Program Updates for 3/18/2020

Like much of the country and the state of Maryland, Service Coordination Inc (SCI) is following the guidelines outlined by the CDC, adjusting our procedures and making modifications to keep our Community and Team Members safe.  For example, we implemented social distancing techniques into our daily operations and minimized in-person contact.  In addition, we have temporarily closed our physical offices, but please know our services continue.  Your Coordinators of Community Services (CCS) and Supports Planners are still working hard. They remain available to address questions and concerns regarding your plans and services.

SCI is a community-based organization. We remain committed to the community, sharing as much information as possible and providing services that continue to connect people with the assistance they need.

The COVID-19 virus is disrupting our daily routines, and we are all concerned.  However, by sharing information and staying connected, we can help to reduce the spread of this virus.  Please continue to contact us through your current connections with SCI Team Members. For additional information, please contact us 888-240-6835 or email us (   Stay well and let’s stay connected.
