Service Coordination Names Eric Silverman as Chief Finance Officer

FREDERICK, MD – Service Coordination, Inc. (SCI), a non-profit organization and community provider of services and advocacy for people with disabilities across Maryland, names Eric Silverman Executive Vice President and Chief Finance Officer (CFO). Silverman joins the executive leadership team and will contribute to SCI’s strategic direction and performance.

Eric Silverman brings over thirty years of experience in non-profit, government, healthcare, medical research and development, and energy industries with billion-dollar budgets. He has served as chief financial officer and acting chief information officer for a national eating disorder company.

In addition to more than 15 years of consulting leadership in public and private sectors, most recently, Silverman served as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of The Consortium. He leveraged his deep experience, effectively assessed the organization’s needs, and led the selection and implementation of the organization’s first electronic medical records system (EMR), a modern billing/receivable system, and a market-leading general ledger. Eric achieved these goals while leading the organization through a global pandemic, ensuring financial stability, and keeping operations open.

“Our organization is expanding to meet the needs of the communities we support,” remarked John Dumas, President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Service Coordination, Inc. “Eric’s experience in enhancing organizations’ financial systems and processes is well-suited for our growth; his expertise will provide a greater impact in our communities and for those we support.” He has served on and supported multiple boards, including the Energy Co-Op, a Philadelphia alternative energy company, and the Elfreth’s Alley Association, a national historic landmark. Silverman joins the organization as the current CFO, Gerri Hammond, retires.

Eric Silverman lives with his wife Patricia in a historic 1756 townhouse in Philadelphia. He is the father of Emily, a Baltimore elementary school teacher, and David, a senior at Champlain College majoring in game programming. He is also a proud grandfather to Tyler Saxe.
