Crafting Confidence: Stacey’s Entrepreneurial Spirit Shines

Stacey has always had a passion for crafting. This year, she set a meaningful personal goal: to start and grow her own crafting business. With encouragement from her Coordinator of Community Services (CCS), Crystel, and the support staff in her life, Stacey has been taking steps to turn that dream into reality.

As Stacey worked toward her goal, Crystel and her support team helped ensure she had the tools she needed to succeed, including supplies for her crafts and a dedicated space where she could create. When Stacey learned that the agency providing her services was hosting its annual picnic, she saw an exciting opportunity to share her work with others.

Before the event, Stacey told Crystel that she wanted to showcase some of her handmade items and proudly shared the name she had chosen for her business: Crafts by Stacey. Seeing that name displayed on a banner at the picnic was a special moment. Stacey was excited, proud, and ready to introduce her creations to the community.

During the picnic, Crystel had the opportunity to see Stacey in action. Stacey confidently engaged with attendees, showcased her products, and kept track of her sales. Her entrepreneurial skills shined as she naturally drew people to her table and shared her crafts with pride.

By the end of the event, Stacey’s sales were an excellent outcome for a pop-up showcase. Even more importantly, she left the picnic feeling motivated, encouraged, and excited for future opportunities to continue growing her business.

Stacey’s story is a powerful reminder of what can happen when people are supported to pursue their goals in ways that are meaningful to them. Through person-centered support, encouragement, and opportunities to shine, Stacey is building confidence, sharing her talents, and taking proud steps toward her future as a business owner.
