About SCI’s Let’s Talk Series

Service Coordination, Inc. (SCI) announces the launch of our Let’s Talk: Services, Support & Community series!  We invite you to join us for Let’s Talk, an engaging event series designed to build understanding, spark connection, and answer your questions about SCI and the services we provide.

Our next Let’s Talk event is for individuals, care givers and family of older adults, individuals with disabilities, and those with complex medical needs. The content is designed to help you understand the supports available and how to get connected. Registration is now open!

  • Date: October 9th, 2025
  • Time: 5:30–6:30PM
  • Location: The Village at Rockville (9701 Veirs Drive, Rockville, MD 20850).

Join us for a relaxed and informative evening as we explore Supports Planning — a program that helps older adults, individuals with disabilities, and those with complex medical needs live safely and independently in the community. This session is designed to help you understand the supports available and how to get connected including topics such as:

  • Who qualifies for Supports Planning Services
  • What kinds of supports are available
  • How to help someone get connected to the program

Kasey Bly, Program Navigator

Kasey Bly, Program Navigator

Kasey Bly brings extensive experience supporting individuals and families across Maryland. She began as a direct support professional supporting people with autism, later serving at both the Kennedy Krieger Institute and Frederick County Public Schools, specializing in complex and augmentative communication. Kasey holds a B.A. in Family and Human Services from Towson University and an M.A. in Special Education from McDaniel College. A former Service Coordinator in Carroll County, she now serves as SCI’s Program Navigator, leading outreach, education, and resource development.

Sheneiah Philips, Program Manager for Supports Planning Services

Sheneiah Philips, Program Manager for Supports Planning Services

Sheneiah Phillips is a seasoned human services professional with over 16 years of experience, including 8 years in diverse leadership roles. A proud alumna of Temple University, she studied social work and has dedicated her career to empowering individuals and communities through compassionate service and strategic program development.

 

Currently serving as an SPS Program Manager, Sheneiah leads a dynamic team across Montgomery County, the Western Region, and Anne Arundel. She is deeply committed to outreach, collaboration, and strengthening the SPS program while advancing the mission of SCI. Her work includes expanding the program’s presence on social media and within local communities, ensuring that those who can benefit from SPS services are informed and engaged.

 

Sheneiah’s leadership is marked by a passion for innovation, equity, and impact—qualities that continue to shape the future of human services in Maryland and beyond.

About SCI's Let's Talk Series

Our Let’s Talk series is hosted by our Community Engagement team to connect individuals, families, and local partners with practical information about SCI’s services, including Supports Planning Services (SPS), Coordination of Community Services (CCS), and navigating eligibility for state-funded programs.

If you would like to be informed when future Let’s Talk events are scheduled, join our interest list.

While specific topics may be identified for each date and location, during our Let’s Talk sessions, you’ll:

  • Learn more about SCI’s mission and the impact we’re working to create

  • Explore the ins and outs of our Coordination of Community Services (CCS) and Supports Planning Services (SPS) programs

About SCI’s Community Engagement Program

SCI’s Community Engagement team works to improve how SCI connects with and supports the community.  The Community Engagement team, which includes Program Navigators—our Information and Referral experts—works hand-in-hand with our dedicated case managers who are supporting more than 16,000 individuals across Maryland to better understand, reach and respond to the needs of individuals and organizations in our community.
