Announcing the Winners of the Maryland Developmental Disabilities Council’s Expectations Matter Story/Photo Contest!

First – Third Place Winners

The Council created the message Expectations Matter Expect Ability to raise awareness about expectations. The power of this message is in the real-life stories, so this year’s contest focused on the everyday examples of how expectations play a role in the lives of people with developmental disabilities.

We received so many fantastic stories and photos. Our selection committee had difficult decisions to make, and we thank everyone who participated. Please know that by sharing your stories with your friends and colleagues, you are helping to spread the message: #ExpectationsMatter #ExpectAbility.
