Caregiver Town Hall and Resource Fair-Sept. 15, 2018

Creating a flexible, person-centered, family-oriented system of supports so people can have full lives.

Caregiver Resource Fair and Town Hall
Sept. 15, 2018 at Salisbury University

The Maryland Commission on Caregiving (MCC) is mandated to hear from family/informal caregivers across the lifespan. Last November the MCC held its first town hall during the “Care for All” event in partnership with AARP Maryland.

The commission is holding another town hall at Salisbury University Wicomico Room, Guerrieri Student Union on Saturday, Sept. 15 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. In addition to the town hall, there will be a resource fair that is focusing on information sharing relevant to all family/informal caregivers across the lifespan. The Town Hall will be facilitated by Senator James N. Mathias from 10:00 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. For event information please contact Naomi Duffort by phone at (410) 767-7742, or by email to Naomi.Duffort@maryland.gov.

We are asking MCC members and partners to share this flyer with your networks to encourage family and informal caregivers to come and share their concerns and recommendations.

Thank you in advance for your support. If you have any questions, please contact Dorinda Adams, Programs Manager, Office of Adult Services, Social Services Administration, Maryland Department of Human Services by phone at 410-767-7323 or by email at dorinda.adams@maryland.gov
